I put 95, 000 miles on a 2016 Prius in the span of 2 years when I had a 4+ hour round-trip daily commute (over 200 miles per day to and from work). It was a fantastic car for that mission, and I routinely averaged about 50 mpg in all freeway driving under some pretty terrible, windy, hilly conditions. The maintenance costs were the lowest of any vehicle I've ever owned. It was roomy, comfortable, and a great commuter & road trip car. I actually miss having a Prius. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the Prius...they're excellent cars.

We live in a time where a Prius is now fun to drive. Flabbergasted.
I want one

The Prius is such a good car. It does what it should do absolutely perfectly.

The Toyota hybrid eCVT is great because it behaves like an CVT should. Linear, constant power delivery at any speed with no fake shifting. Drive a regular CVT and a hybrid eCVT back to back and you'll see how much better the hybrid system is.

This vehicle is so much better than literally every pointless crossover. Has some personality at least, even if it’s not for everyone

Love the enthusiasm Chris. “I beat mustangs and Camaros in this and we they didn’t even know we were racing”😂

The Japanese mastered the concept of the affordable, reliable, yet quality car.

My wife has a 2008 Prius Touring that she bought new with now over 200k miles, still going strong with the factory original battery to boot.
When I finally stops working I will be buying her and maybe even myself another brand new one.

Thanks for doing an honest review and not being an instant hater of these cars. And you are correct, they really are fun to drive and really just do everything (aside from face shattering acceleration) phenomenally well. If more “enthusiasts” would give them a chance and keep the purpose of this car in mind they might actually *gasp* enjoy the ride. Great reviews by the way, I appreciate that you will throw down with anything from a Mclaren to, well a Prius, and the POV is just awesome.

We own two Prius from new. 2007 and 2012 V they are never in the shop for repairs. The most reliable cars we've ever owned. Great Video!

Most people don't hate the prius itself, they hate the drivers lol

This video made me realize how excited I am to get mine saturday! I’ve always had SUV’s but it’s time to make the switch.

We have like 7 of these Priuses where I work (we're getting 11 more of them), and once I averaged 66.6 mpg on a trip from the start of the shift to the end of the shift. Thankfully, the Devil didn't come down to steal my soul that day.

Every housewife over 50: "I need a crossover SUV."
Me: "No, you need a Prius. You just want a crossover because you don't bend like that anymore."

I never understood the hate for the Prius. Yeah, it can seem pretty dull if you're an enthusiast. But it does everything else remarkably well. Fantastic fuel economy, bulletproof reliability, very low cost of ownership, roomy and comfortable. I'm not crazy about the notchback design, I think they should have made this a full blown hatchback or wagon, though I understand they do it for aerodynamics. This is the perfect car for pretty much anyone.

Drove on the road today for the first time! Hands sweaty😅. I am excited to one day get this car, hopefully it's my first car but who knows. Liked this review of the Prius, love how it's a simple and good car overall in fuel economy.👍
