How can we know what data it's discarding when loading new pages, so that the developer can discard the source data if that's not coming from Room but needs to be assembled from other local sources?

Does view pager 2 support this? There are a ton of problems trying to get this to work, and I also wonder how to go to a specific page programmatically. For example you might want a search functionality that goes to page 314, then you want to be able to navigate by swiping left/right to 313/315. How to do this? Those items are of course yet to be downloaded when searching. It would in any case be nice to see a working sample with view pager that uses database plus network. View pager 2 uses recycler view so I would imagine it should work.

You guys built the paging 3 library with good faith to facilitate success and better experience for Android developers, But the only issue is that your documentations are confusing, Developers of today don't like talking much, It's better you add demo projects like say "Todo App" which uses the paging 3 library, that way a developer sees the codes and knows how to use in his project. Talking doesn't help, please talk with codes to make things easy for us.😂😂
