There is a crossover with another fan favourite comedy series, ‘The Office!’ Given that Michael Schur created some of the most memorable comedy shows to date, several nods were included to his other work, one of which was in the form of a mug. When we meet the head accountant, Neil, we can see him holding a mug that says ‘Existence’s Best Boss.’ This is a play on the mug that Michael Scott owns which reads ‘World’s Best Boss.’ To take it even further, Stephen Merchant, who plays Niel, was a part of the UK Office before the more popular US version was created.
