I love the comments calling her out on her bs.
"In return i was going to get hired" meaning you knew you weren't immediately hired. I'm willing to bet that the actual agreement was something like "if you make this toilet cake and we like it, we'll hire you to make it for X amount of money" and you didn't meet the "if we like it" part. ALSO in a response somewhere in these comments, you yourself said that you were eventually paid for your time. Keeping this video up without change is misleading and hurtful to the people involved (we all know who was involved).
And to suggest that the other hyper realistic cake creator used your video as a reference, or was shown your video as some kind of tutorial, is honestly just ridiculous. Have you seen the other creators cakes? They're incredibly realistic. She doesn't need your video to make a toilet cake.

I don't believe you were tricked. I believe they asked you to make one to see if you had the skills, you sent the video, they didn't like the results & they chose someone else. I also don't think it was a scheme to show another cake artist how to make a toilet cake. This isn't a tutorial. It's just you sitting on a toilet shaped cake. Natalie Sideserf makes hyperrealistic cakes for a living, she would have figured it out without just looking at a video of a toilet cake being sat on. Also your cake was too hard because you filled it with solid chocolate between the layers for some reason. They needed the cake to smash like cake while being sat on & I think that's why you weren't chosen.

Weird that this was all straightened out & after posting this you got paid, but you still have this video up making it look like a scam & you know everyone knows who the person is & who the other cake artist is.

Ok, I’m really confused…and I’m not trying to be a jerk at all, I just don’t get what the whole issue is. I watched the longer video with the receipts and I still don’t see the problem. You made a tryout cake basically, got paid very quickly for it (your words), and then realized you had a scheduling conflict. So, I saw that they offered to pay you to fix the scheduling conflict, but then changed their minds about going that route in the end. But even in the email where they decline to use you, they tell you to send an invoice with all of the costs that you had incurred so far…so it appears they were still planning to pay you back for any money you lost while under the impression that you would be doing the project. So, where is the problem here? You WERE paid for the tryout cake, you were promised payment for any money lost while attempting to do the project as soon as you sent them an invoice…so is it just that they didn’t pay you quickly enough for you or get back in touch with you fast enough that made you want to create this video? I’m just genuinely trying to understand your thought process when creating this because it seems like a lot of drama over a very small issue. But I do wish you the best!

I have been following sideserf for awhile now and have seen how talented she is and her creations look amazingly real. Even if you are unhappy about the situation throwing shade on a fellow cake decorator is rather petty and sends the wrong message to other viewers who don’t know of sideserf. That’s spreading fake information and is rather disappointing to see.

Maybe.. you could've worded this differently? This kinda makes you sound a little salty for not getting the job and a little condescending the person who did get the job as if she didn't deserve the job. I think you must've misunderstood. You said so yourself that the "guy" asked you to PROVE you can make it. Perhaps the other "girl" did it better and since i know the work that "girl" does, she makes very very realistic cakes.

Tho i know who you're talking about, I'm not biased at all. This is just my view from this video because clearly you misunderstood. Prove does not mean that you're hired. He must've told countless people to prove they can do it but that one person did it better. See that as a way to improve yourself instead of being salty like this.

I went and watched part two, and I find this to be super petty and click-baity. From everything you’ve shown, this original cake was essentially an audition, which you didn’t get. They ultimately chose someone else. They offered to reimburse you for everything you’d done so far, so your claim of “not getting paid” really doesn’t make any sense.

Edit: For clarification we all know sideserf was picked to make the cake. The video says she was asked to make a cake and wasn't picked, thus sideserf was who they went with. All I was wondering is if it was for mr.beast's video which it seems it was. Watch the video for context...
