Why?? A kid already passed away hiking in this heat!! There are other things to do in Phoenix and surrounding cities than hiking in this deadly heat!!

I know right, I've lived here almost 2 yrs and learned the hard way and I wasn't even hiking! LOL I had heat stroke(dehydration) 3 times since I've been here. First time it happened our moving truck had a rock slide hit us on the second clime from payson. It was 117, and we were stuck at the almost top for 7 hours before help came.. we had no signal to call and no one would stop. We weren't aware we were in any danger because we never experienced this kind of heat, we didn't know. Man I almost died! Scary! The other 2 times I wasn't thinking and just being dumb. LOL I certainly know better now and I've acclimated a bit. I bet they feel terrible right now. Hope they recover!🙏

We need to have signs on the mountains that say "If youre a snowbird and climb our mountain in the summer than you are on your own. " Every call costs us tax payers thousands of dollars because these snowbirds are dumb.

People should have to get training and permits before going into wild areas and state forests.

Rescuers should've let them there so they would or could learn a lesson if you cant handle the heat the temperature and the height of a mountain why are you going to the top absolutely ridiculous
