The Secret History I read over a month and read other books inbetween but when I finished it, the impact was too great, felt like I had finished the best book I'd ever read and nothing would ever compare. It was slow in some places but it all makes sense after imo, it's going to be great to reread. But it's not one everyone loves and that's alright

A good girl's guide to murder was the book that got me out of my reading slump. I am a crime thriller fan but I couldn't find a perfect book as I was drowning in my school works and stress I got into a reading slump and when I found this book OMG

Okay the last Caraval book (Finale) put me in the biggest slump ever and here's why:
I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st book because I loved the aspect of the game and the romance, BUT by the time you get to Finale, the whole plot completely changes! It literally goes from a romance to trying to save the world from the Fates, who serve no purpose in the 1st book to begin with. So yeah, Finale put me in a slump, so I plan to skim through the remaining instead of continuing to read it.
But I disagree with Girl in Pieces. I think that it was a VERY excellent book and I finished it in a couple of days.

I feel like my reading slumps are way different than most people. People are always talking about gettinf in resding slumps because of how good the book was, but for me it's the opposite. I get put in a reading slump when I get tired of the books but I want to finish it before reading another one so I just stop reading.
