Oh my goodness, I this. I was around to play Gen 1 games when they were the only ones out, but hearing the announcement of Gen 2 and seeing all that new stuff on the Internet... how you can see your own reflections. How there'd be a daycare with genders for Pokemon and they could lay eggs. It was all so new and exciting and I jumped fully on the Pokemon bus. I was so into it. It was the first time the battle theme changed and it was so exhilarating. It's now the most nostalgic tune for me so it just absolutely thrills me. I especially love the part at the very end that you completely made up yourself. It is soooo good. I wish they could incorporate it into winning the battle in the next Gen 2 remake! :D

By holding down ZR and ZL after choosing Pokémon stadium, the game will know to play the Pokémon Gold and Silver Medley instead of the normal track. (Pokémon Red and Blue theme) This same procedure can be done on Great Bay to listen to a new version of Saria’s Song. It can also be done on Mute City in order to hear a song from the game “Mach Rider.” (Of which shares the name with the song.) This can be done on Battlefield and Final Destination to hear Multi-man Melee 1 and 2 respectively. It can be done on Peach’s Castle to hear the remix of the overworld theme from Super Mario Bros. 3. Those are all the stages I believe have a second music track. This has been my report on alternate music tracks in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube.
