Contrary to popular belief The Betty and Barney Hill encounter wasn't the first Alien Abduction case. There was another which was equally as famous which happened almost five years before theirs. It was the Antônio Vilas-Boas Abduction case.

It's worth noting that Project Bluebook wasn't the Pentagon's UFO research project from 1947 to 1969. It was the United States Air Force's study into documenting UFO sightings. It ran from 1952 to 1969 which was directed by Captain Edward J. Ruppelt and the scientific advisor was Dr J Allen Hynek. There were also two other projects into UFOs which predate Bluebook. The first was Project sign, then there was the short lived Project Grudge.

What I've been curious about is how she knew about the naval pregnancy test, if the incident didn't happen. That method was discovered a few years before the abduction and wasn't widely practiced by the time of the hypnosis. I haven't see the Outer Limits, so maybe they had a scene close to that or maybe some show/movie did. I just always found that part odd in the story.

It's much less terrifying for so-called experts to claim the couple had some shared false memories based on subconscious frustrations than it is for these "experts" to concede to the possibility of otherworldly beings possessing the technology and inclination to covertly abduct and experiment on humans. How much do the fears of these "experts" influence their assessment of the couples experience ? Barney and Betty were gaslighted instead of taken at their word, likely compound the trauma of their non-voluntary confusing experience.

I've met 4 different species of Aliens in 8 different experiences. They come to visit me in the daytime when I'm wide awake. No dreams, no drugs and no hypnosis. I'm an engineer and I score well above average in every mental test, including sanity. . I've never been afraid of Aliens or any other type of paranormal being or experience.

at a UFO event in Exeter, NH, in 2010,
