Balancing Masculine Rigidity with Feminine Practice

There needs to be an equal amount of Masculine and Feminine practice in men’s work.

Masculine practice, at its core, is linear and structured; Feminine practice is non-linear, intuitive, and fluid. Masculine practice cultivates consciousness and depth; Feminine practice cultivates energy and expression. Few of us are taught the fundamentals of either one, so we often start training in the practice that aligns with our essence.

Masculine practice is often dry and uninspiring because it involves cultivating structure and emptiness. If you sit in front of your Feminine partner and “hold space” from this place, they may like it at first, but they will eventually crave more energy and expression from you, in order to feel and experience you more fully.

It's easy to get rigid in the Masculine, so bringing flow into your life and practice opens more pathways of response and leadership in your relationship. If you have too much flow, then you sacrifice depth. So the balance is vital.

The integrated lover is alive and open, while also being grounded with presence & depth at the same time. Most humans swing between these polarities. Ultimately, the deepest, most felt presence is a blend of the Masculine and Feminine; Yin and Yang.
