Organisers have promised an Opening Ceremony the likes of which audiences have never seen when the 2024 Paris Games get underway Friday. More than 80 boats bearing nearly 7,000 athletes will set off from Paris's Austerlitz Bridge for a floating parade up the River Seine, sailing past Notre-Dame cathedral to arrive at the feet of the iconic Eiffel Tower. A vast security operation has also been put in place for the event, reports FRANCE 24's Selina Sykes.

Never watched it, watched the cat eating her dinner, not watching the Olympics, and people I talk to are not interested, I think banning disabled athletes from the Para Olympics just because they happened to be born in Russia was just too much for decent people to take for a games that claim it is INCLUSIVE,

It is the worst looking operning ceremony in the history of the olympics. I guess America had to help them foot the bill because It appears to have more American celebrities than French. Plus Snoop Dogg would never be allowed as a torch bearer in American. I hate to see what the closing ceremonies look like.
