You can imagine how many times he would have been broken that neck before perfecting it . 👍 Amazing

This clay just evolved into several different vases in one long spin and touch🙌👏 Respect to this guy!😌

Regardless of if you take a liking to pottery or not, I believe we can all agree that this is fantastic. ❤

My college pottery professor told me he had a habit of making vases flared top for his wife, so when it came to buying her flowers to fill up the vase he wouldn't have to buy nearly as many. One of my favorite professors I've had to this day.

Finally after two years of attempts I finally threw a decent narrow neck. All thanks to watching you throw them. Thank you so much for sharing with us !

I have been a semi-pro potter for many years. I can honestly say this shape is definitely one of the most difficult to throw. I've done many bottles but none so graceful as this piece. I never thought of drying them out with a torch as I go along—that would definitely help keep them from collapsing, as mine did so many times—thanks for the tip! Great job!

I'm mesmerized by the stunning beauty of it all, the process, the artist's perfection. It's satisfying to watch.

Wow! It takes incredible precision to achieve this. Just when you think he's going to squeeze too hard and pop that neck off, he's got it. Great work!

In highschool whenever I would try to throw a narrow necked vase the neck would always wrinkle when I would try to throw it up as this guy did T.T he has much skills and I am sure he put in the time to get that good ^^ I miss throwing it was the best and my ceramic teacher was awesome! Keep throwing your great and I’m sure you will inspire another generation of people who will love to throw ^^

Matt I have watched this video SO many times :) I love pots that have "skinny necks" and you do them perfectly. It's a challenge I have every time I make one.

I also use a blow torch on my pots, this enables me to throw taller AND I can make and finish the pot all in the same day :)

Thanks "as always" Matt.

This is not only very fun to watch but imagine what it would feel like to actually do it with your own hands!!! This is so beautiful and relaxing!!!

What skill and confidence! I was experiencing anxiety while he was pulling the neck, making it thinner and thinner! Having only a little experience throwing I know how difficult that is! Wow!
