How long would you wait it out? I’m currently on day two with a piece of pasta in my throat.

*Drink carbonated drink
*Try eating soft food like banana or butter
*If anything doesn't work for about 30 mins, that means you might have eaten something other than food unknowingly, in that case drink lots of water and try puking after that.

p.s - once i ate mango pickle's hard stuff unknowingly, and the only option for me was to puke. And it worked.

I got a piece of steak stuck in my throat and every time I tried drinking water it would hurt and would throw it back out. I tried the soda and it didn’t help. It was horrible. So I waited a few hours and then tried water again and swallowed hard and finally went down and it was such a relief. Need to chew my food better from now on 🤦🏻‍♂️

This happened to me last night. I started to cough as I was taking my omega 3 capsule. I choked for a few seconds and forced myself to cough. My pill became lodged in my esophagus. I was ok but I felt the pill. I did everything: ate a slice of bread, drank a can of LeCroix, have my husband slap my back, eat a tablespoon of butter. When I woke up in the morning, I felt better but when I squeezed my throat, I could still feel something. So this afternoon, I drank 5 mini cans of Coke. Squish. The pill is gone. Coke really works😂

It happens to me every now and then...But when this happens, I can't swallow a liquid either. I must go somewhere private and force it out.
It's odd to me because I try to be careful about chewing my food. It's quite embarrassing when it happens at a restaurant.

The size doesn't matter and recently I've been burping/throwing it back up I did today over a 1 single French frie and sat ther for 10 mins waiting for it to come back up or go down

I was eating grapes and it got stuck I tried drinking water to wash it down but it stayed stuck. After 10min it worked its way down. I was really scared I was going to lose my life to a grape.

this reminds me of when my friend or so called friend, (bless his soul and i hope he recovers) ate a bunch of meth and it got stuck in his throat. i told him to throw it up so he doesn’t swallow it. Out of panic, he chugged a bottle of water and ended up being super high. i was worried about him so i called 9-11 and he got mad at me afterwards. He’s been blaming me for the hospital bills, calling me a snitch and a bad friend. I am the sober one out of the friendship. what was i suppose to do? i thought he was going to die from an overdose. it’s been 10 years and we still don’t talk. I feel like a piece of shit now for trying to save his life.
