At UCL, we understand how science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are fundamental to the way we live our lives and shape so many of the things that we see and do every day.

Engines are an essential part of mix of energy systems for power and propulsion – they drive everything from transportation on earth to exploration the solar system and beyond.

In this short talk, Dr Midhat Talibi will give you an overview of how engines work and explore how they will continue to be important as we move towards decarbonisation. He will also cover exciting new frontiers in engine development and how UCL’s research feeds into up-and-coming technologies.
