Infectious enthusiasm, great descriptions and no snooty attitudes!
Nice!
Edit: My edc for the past few years is a Milwaukee Fastback camo drop point; model # 48-22-1990, a great great knife for only $25.

the folding razor is basically a mini havalon piranta for slightly cheaper, or approximately the same price depending on where you buy it. the mechanism for how the blades lock in are even identical to havalon's system.

It's nothing special on paper, but I just grabbed a Ruike 661, it's a ridiculously slick little knife and $25. It's got a great swedge and crowned spine, a nice grind, the pivot is plenty smooth, and overall it feels kind of like the ideal inexpensive EDC.

Great to see a knife channel with some variety and 'different' knives for a change, beyond just the usual Spyderco/Civivi/etc. slabs of supersteel and G10, which all kinda look the same after awhile. Nicely done, thx!

That Samior, would be kinda cool for the desk at the office, Kind of a Conversational peace while opening up mail and packages.

You always know you can take someone's advice on knives when their hands show plenty of little knicks, cuts, and scratches. They've put the time and the work.

3:15 The titanium frame lock is good for TSA too; you can toss the blade and keep the knife mechanism instead of tossing the whole thing

You've found the meeting point of man shit, variety, enthusiasm, subject knowledge, mechanics and appreciation for all of the above.

You point out all the good details that other reviewers miss and I greatly appreciate it as a first time watcher, looking forward to more suggestions

3:37 the general best practice for precision handling a scalpel type blade is with a pen grasp where you have your index finger on the spine of the knife, with your thumb and middle finger on either side of the blade, cheers!

Blade steel is not a metric for price. Going from the absolute cheapest 440 to the M390 super steel is negligible in price. Instead of the $2 of 440 the knife would use, it would use $6.50 of M390. So an extra $4-5 is negligible even when you add in the extra $0.20 of increase in production difficulty due to its toughness, especially when a knife gets to around $100. So instead of selling the knife for $80, it has to be $84.50. Big deal. I see knife companies charging $20-50 more for a super steel, and that's nonsense, unless it's a machete that uses a ton of steel.

I’ve been following you for a long time I JUST STARTED collecting - have cold steel and CRKT - I will be following I love how there’s others that love blades and blade build/smithing

I like your channel here; no nonsense self promotion and you get right to the subject. Well done!

Nicely done! Yup, I'd take that first one over my "sleeper" knife any day! The pocket clip knife is ingenious!

11:14, that's likely real carbon fiber, carbon fiber material isn't nearly as expensive as the research and development to weave it appropriately so it's structurally integral to a functional design... In this case, a relatively cheap flat piece of woven carbon fiber is merely adhered to the integral frame, just filling out space with less weight than the frame material.

I'm glad to see Mr. Plinkett doing knife reviews alongside his star wars reviews.

Samior are the best knives for the money. Get a D2 blade with a titanium handle, $28. Great action and very small. The lock bar is not needed, it is a gentleman's knife.

Hello from the UK. We have crazy knife laws because roadmen in London like shanking each other. If you're looking for an EDC carry option which is legal, technically speaking (you still need a good reason to carry it regardless) is a Whitby Mint. Its amazing for a £25 knife. Its razor sharp, great in the hand and well made. I love whitby knives, I have a load of their less legal knives and this one is arguably better. They're great for their pricepoint.
