Показать описание
A diet of leverets will not be enough to sustain a growing pup or feed an entire wolf pack, so bigger prey is needed. The problem is bigger prey like the Hare are incredibly agile and can run up to speeds of 60 km per hour. If this wolf pack are not going to go hungry, they will need to hunt as a unit.

BBC Earth has the best camera work, of course David is in his own league.

Looks like the wolves has more calorie burned than calorie input from the hare...

Love how the soundtrack was in perfect sync with hare's jump in the beginning of the video

There's no hiding place/objects convenient for ambush & white hair, easy to spot the presence each other. An unsual setup, but both prey & predator find life there. Genius is nature.

@3.14. Impeccable audio quality at first. You can hear the shaggy coats of the wolves rustling. You can actually hear the hare licking its lips once its got away....
Once.
Then when they catch it, someone through immersion out the window again. Bites weren't even timed properly.

I like how the hare can turn different directions but when the second one got eaten, I kind of felt sorry for it, maybe because I found it cute

Why does the hare often change its direction when fleeing? Wouldn't a straight path be a better strategy?

At least the hare have a chance of surviving, If that was a Cheetah then there is zero chance of surviving, The hare will get catched in few seconds. The savanna is harsher environment.
