Do we live inside a black hole? This is a question that has fascinated scientists and philosophers for a long time. It's a question that keeps us wondering about our existence and the vast universe around us. This documentary will take you on a journey to explore this question and its implications it has on our whole existence. We'll try to understand if the universe, as we know it, might be part of something much bigger and more mysterious.

something that was discovered a hundred years ago has intrigued scientists for thousands of years … well hello chatgpt, how do you do?

I guarantee you’ll find a Dollar General inside a black hole. 🕳️

fun fact... If you add energy to a black hole, the diameter of it's event horizon expands. If you look at this expansion rate as an expansion pressure, depending on its size, each unit of energy added increases the expansion pressure more than it adds to the gravitational pull inwards leading to an accelerating rate of expansion... sound familiar?? Astoundingly similar to the behaviour of "dark energy" doesn't it!

Primordial black holes the ones in the middle of galaxies such as
( Sagittarius A.) DID NOT HAVE BILLIONS OF YEARS TO FEED THEMSELVES AND FEEDING ON WHAT? UNLESS THERE WAS TIME AND MATTER BEFORE THE Universe
It looks like at the bigbang we already had those super massive black holes ??

It's interesting that the two boundaries of our knowledge are singularities. Both those in a black hole, and the one at the Big Bang.

Great Job Spacedust. Great narration and video as well.

What's inside a black hole? That's obvious... All those missing bobby pins. Once ya put them down, they're lost forever...

Einstein came up w the math problem that implied black holes in the 30s I think & he didn't even think they really existed for a long time. You even mention him right after saying that. This stiff is super interesting by itself, you don't have to exaggerate. Plus once you say something like that, it throws into question how truthful anything else you say might be.

If, according to Prof. Hawking, black holes can "evaporate" away, does that not imply that they can lose mass from within the event horizon (E.H.)? If molecules at the event horizon can be torn apart, so that part of the molecule is absorbed, while part of it appears as radiation from the black hole, that does not suggest to me that anything has crossed from inside the E.H. to the region outside of it - yet that must surely happen if the black hole can lose mass. Have I misunderstood that?

If an observer outside of a Black Hole would see objects reaching the E.H, but never falling into it, because time stops for them from the perspective of the observer, would that not mean that we should eternally 'see' everything that has ever fallen into the black hole? If this is the case, would we only lose sight of such an object when the E.H. eclipses it due to expanding as the black hole grows because of the accumulation of ever more mass?

The vast distance would make it impossible for us to reach any black hole

The inability to disprove lends a theory only to philosophy not science.

"Could our universe be one single black hole. This intriguing question has puzzeled scientists and philosophers FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS."

Uh, no.

Science in the modern sense is a few hundred years old. The notion of a black hole maybe a couple hundred years old

A ethical concern in exploring black holes?
Having permission to.

There doesn’t seem to be a place inside a black hole. Not sure why we would posit that we live inside a singular non-place. Perhaps a better title would have been, “We live outside a bunch of black holes.”

It makes more sense when you realize that different types of black holes are more or less firmly sealed Dyson spheres, where the inside topology might be any scale compared to the outward sppearsnce

How can there be infinite density when mass is 20 times or a 1000 times or billions of times that of our sun?

This is my favorite theory. If we are living inside a black hole, the expansion of the universe could be explained by the increase of the size of the black hole consuming more material. What happens with Hawking radiation? Does the universe shrink?

Yes and its getting blacker and more greedy by the year.
