Jacob, I gotta say that growing up an EVH fan in the 80's, I would have given at least a kidney, and possibly my left nut to be able to play the way you do! I have messed around with the guitar for years, but it has never amounted to anything. With Eddie now gone, it's hard to find anyone that comes close to replacing him. Someone that can grab the torch and run with it. Grab it, and hold it high, my friend!

Deraps, Greg Germino just shipped me my Lead 55 and it COOKS!! Sounds exactly like a Marshall 1968 Plexi 50watt. I’m very happy with mine, sounds great with any guitar

There goes that theory that you can’t shred on a Gibson Les Paul. Not only can you shred, you rocked it.

Awesome clip- thanks for posting. Not sure if this was addressed in the comments below- I see the "100" cab, are you using G12H 55hz like the original "100"/1982 cabs?

Hey man just curious, do you have to play harder to get more “gain” out of a plexi?

I’ve always wondered if your amp has reversed hi and lo inputs or if you’re plugging into the lo input and getting this gain nonetheless! 😮

First Q here but I have many lp related ones after first glad to see you rocking them was wondering when that would happen since I only picture you with superstrats but when youre rocking out anything in VH with that big ass LP I can just tell this brings the Rhandy and maybe Michael schenker out of your playing mate! 🤟😉
SO,
big Q this must be some kind of modded plexi I've played a rack at different music stores here in canada trying the les paul standard 50s but they couldn't do hard rock as well without squeeling due to having very vintage inspired 61 burstbuckers A2 mag unpotted pickups as gibson states when they made them and that's what I experienced no real balls and punch because they're so low compared to other pickups out today - so how are you getting this tone without all the squeeling ??
really no pedals ?? No boost no cascade mod done or others to the plexi ? Are your speakers v30s those are like the active pickups of the speaker world I find !!
Lmk man I'm shocked you got that good a sound out of a 50s strd LP of all things ?? Please do tell I'll keep the secret my friend ..
^^
I ended up choosing between a Les paul slash gold top felt like a custom shop standard pretty much in comparison with those slashbuckers inside perfect hot paf not old and dated" sounding when trying to play hard rock and not too hot hot like a Seymour jb when you add gain loved it. I shot out the Slash gold top against R8, R9s R7s Murphy labs and les paul customs instore. The Slash had the feel sound and looks I was after. I didn't like the very vintage custom buckers at all ; for hard rock they were far too noisy and temperamental and only sounded good clean or with light overdrive, the slashbuckers could kind of do it all and that's a $3999 vs 7-9k list price difference between the Slash LP vs other Gibson CS Les Paul's.
Anyways thanks in advance for any replies, would love to hear any tips from you and cheers from Niagara falls Canada brother please come tour though here ! 🤟🤟🙏🙏

I've heard a REAL 1968 PLEXI...and this one sounds nothing like it...nothing hahaha!!!...that real 68 was so much more ballsy and some crazy breakup...this one sounds too clean.
