***Our new Echeveria eBook is out now***

Echeveria are some of the most popular and beautiful succulents. They are also, mostly, easy to propagate from just a single leaf.

One Echeveria can be propagated into a good 20, if you follow a few simple rules.

In this video we'll cover everything about Echeveria leaf propagation. All of this info is suitable for complete beginners.

I run a plant nursery and have been propagating Echeveria from leaves for over a decade. I will share all of the tips and tricks i've learned along the way.

Thank you so much for making this video. I have always struggled with leaf propagation. I used to lay them on soil n water when some used to get roots n then rest of the leaves wld rot. Will try all the things u have suggested. When left on their own on a tray without soil i have forgotten them and they have become crisp. I guess u still need to give them attention and proper care. Comprehensive and helpful vdo as always. Thanku once again😊

I live in southern California (zone 9b). This past summer, most of my outdoor echevarias and nearly all of my sempervivums died from the heat, even though they only had direct sunlight before noon and I used a 50% UV reducing shade cloth on the hottest days. My surviving Echeveria Lola partially closed itself up and appeared to be half its size all summer, but now that the days are cooler it opened back up and looks completely normal and beautiful again. Now I’ll know to bring my echeverias indoors under a grow light next summer.

I live in the southern part of India where winter touches minimum 18-20 degrees celcius, and rest it is hot up to 40-42 degrees Celsius...so for me the typical dormancy chart does not work. I try to see the growth according to the temperature changes then the season! Also monsoons last for pretty much 3-4 months during which every species grows super fast 😁 thank you for your amazing videos, always get to learn something out of them
