In 2020 Vent still does one thing very well with v4: one way audio with incredible quality at very low bandwidth, for $2 USD a month. Which is perfect if you need to send remote audio via a hotspot from east bumfuk. Latency is always .39-45 and rock solid. For this use we use HD Voice on cellphones as the backup. so we have redundancy for $24 USD a year. Can't beat that. Plus it allows one of our church services unattended broadcast quality audio, as they can VNC into the box it's on and turn it on themselves. We've been using Vent for years with no issues vs stations that spend way more on "pro" solutions.
