How to Sample with the Elektron Digitakt

In this video, I wanted to bring you through the basic process of getting a sample from an external source onto the Digitakt, and furthermore explore a couple of patterns I created with a single sample as a centerpiece. The sample is a chord sequenced I programmed on the Arturia Microfreak.

Hey Daniel - I've really been enjoying your content it has been very inspiring in my Digitakt endeavors - keep it up!! I was hoping you could explain in regard to track 7 on pattern 1 - is it getting a side chain/ducking effect from the DT compressor, through use of LFOs, some combination or something else?

I'm having the hardest time getting my MF and DT to work via MIDI. Not sure why because have zero issues with other synths and the DT.

what do u think of live sampling? like on a techno set you want to sample from the minifreak and perform some live jams. is it easy to perform sampling in a live sesh? i already know that the octatrack is better for live sampling, but still i was wondering a possible workflow for the digitakt
