Starry Night at the Atacama Crossing

The Atacama Crossing (Chile) is a seven-day, six-stage, 250-kilometer / 150-mile footrace across the Atacama Desert of Chile. The Atacama desert is recognized as the driest place on earth- it is 50 times more arid than California's Death Valley.

The 4 Deserts Race Series is a collection of four, 250 kilometer, six stage footraces across the world's largest and most forbidding deserts including the Gobi March in China, the Sahara Race in Namibia, the Atacama Crossing in Chile and The Last Desert in Antarctica. Established in 2002, in 2016 the 4 Deserts Race Series will celebrate its 50th race.
