ELIZA is accessible on Apple MacOS terminal.

1) Open terminal,
2) Type emacs, and hit enter.
3) Hold shift and press esc, release.
4) Press x, release.
5) type in the name of the game you want, hit enter.

To quit the game, hit <esc> <x>

“doctor” is ELIZA.

Also, ELIZA won a 2021 Legacy Peabody Award, and in 2023 it beat OpenAI's GPT-3.5 in a Turing test study.

Weizenbaum's original video showcasing his "case study" - secretary talking about her boyfriend/depression is of it's time - thank goodness things have changed in that respect.

We did, in the 1960s there were phones but they were a lot different, the most common phones were phones that had a rotary dial on them and they look like a large style that had numbers 0 up to 9 I mean dial, sorry about that but the phone's also had a long cord so you could walk around a little bit but the phones were not portable by any means, some houses had landline Jack's so you can plug in your phone set it up in another room like the living room, or the bedroom
