There’s a theory that with awakenings (or specifically zoan awakenings) that the mastery of seimi Kikan/life return is what leads to their awakening. Since Kiado explains it’s when a users mind and body catch up to their fruit and seimi kikan is the full control over your body and its functions which would explain luffy being able to inflate his limbs without having to blow into them and his gear fourth form variants highlighting different body parts and how he was able to switch between them at will during the kiado fight before his awakening. though we still don’t know if kiado was awakened he also created different drunken forms for himself like gear fourth variants and he also was able to mimic kaku’s blocky body technique.
It’s also to note that Lucci’s awakened form is his slimmer return to life form rather than his more natural buff form. So since cp0 master seimi kikan they were able to awaken their fruits more easily than others.

We don’t know that Doffy awakening in Dressrosa was his very first time doing it. In fact, given how on-command his awakenings were and how he was chosen to lore-dump what awakenings even are to the reader, I’d say that’s very very unlikely. He’s probably been awakened for quite a long time by now. A better example you could use would be Law, who we saw eat his devil fruit as a small child during his backstory and who we also saw the first awakening of in Wano. It’s not quite a 30 year timeframe, but it’s still a long time compared to Kaku.
