Alot of people don't understand Tim's influence in this era. The fact is that he is SO talented, that most of what he writes becomes Instant Tradition. I can only suggest that listeners loosen up and allow his music to sink in deep. Tim is a walking, talking example of living soul in action. I doubt if anyone could find a better example in the American Pantheon of Old Time Music and expression of that history. Walk on

hope to see you again soon

He is a top favorite of mine. ❤️ Will always be. Can't understand why he's not more popular.

Tim has one of the sweetest voices in Bluegrass. Perfect pitch and his colouring in his melodies and so unique. Bluegrass needs to evolve. I think Tim is Bluegrass to the bone and is expressing his creativity. Classic Bluegrass is usually a three or four instrument colaboration and only in this has he deviated. Perhaps you were looking for a Scruggs style picking in this offering but the frailing style gives this tune more of a "get along" feel. I like it!!

Tim is by far one of the most talented musicians of our time. Ive seen him with Hot Rize, and solo, he play 4 different instruments on his solo act in one set. Thank God for Tim O'Brien

If you haven't heard it, do check out Tim's 'Look Down That Lonesome Road' performance on the classic Transatlantic Sessions recorded in a Scottish castle.

Some would say that the passing car ruined the shot but I actually like it. It adds some strange flavour of unpredictability to a live shot. Makes it even 'more live', for the lack of better words. Something like a not too aggresive photo bombing.
