Obviously there are more reasons to quit a game (you don't like it, maybe it's monetization is horrible, or it screws over the player base etc), but when things are going well, should you just ride that wave? I think this may effect me different as a content creator as well, as I do have this pressure to be creative with my free time, I wonder if I'd even feel this way if I wasn't a content creator.

When it gets boring and feels like a chore. When the game becomes expensive and you aren’t pulling the units you want despite paying.

- Feeling depressed when logging in.
- Grinding for months or even years and still getting shafted.
- Being forced to play more than you have to because they minimized the rewards.

Best time to quit was while downloading the game, second best time is right now.

I used to play Pokemon Go and felt compelled to spin Poke Stops every day for the "streak". It's not like it even gets you anything that matters. On what was my 7th day streak one time, I walked outside after a snowstorm up to the local park to get my poke spin. As I sat there is the pure silence, 8 inch snow, staring at this tiny screen of light, I looked around and said out loud, "What the hell am I doing?" Never touched it since and I'm not missing anything. Cutting off is the hardest part but I find how little I miss it even one week later. Video games are fun but there is so much more to experience in life beyond them.

I used to play 3 gacha games at time. Those being Genshin, HSR, and Zenless Zone Zero. I recently uninstalled Genshin and ZZZ because it's gotten to the point that I no longer had control over my time and I found myself playing these games as if it was part of my routine and no longer something I play to have fun. The time I've spent playing those games could've went into doing something more productive. I decided that I'm going to cut back on playing games in general to focus on myself and other important things in life. I'll eventually come back to those games once the time is right. This video showed me how taking a break from these games isn't all that bad despite the FOMO factor because at the end of the day, I'm not really missing out on much so thank you!

That feeling when you just recently quit a gacha game and then you suddenly played another gacha game for fun and it becomes another cycle again

It’s always a matter of balance - when it feels like it’s too much: it’s too much. We all need to find the balance that works for ourselves.

Whatever it is that makes you happy, pursue that: gaming, IRL touching grass stuff, something in-between? (Do that.)

If its no longer fun, then peace on it. So many better ways to spend time 🙏🏽💯 follow the heart bro!

It’s also important to take stock on what kind of joy each game brings you

3 resons I will quit a Gatcha. ( Been playing since Grand Sphere in 2012 )

1. No longer having fun / feels like work.

2. Game starts requiring you to always have the newest units to do well in the new events. / Becomes truly P2W.

3. My account hits a wall where I feel like it's been a long time since I've been able to clear new content. / The grind becomes too much with little reward.

The quit for me is when you get a character that you want .. and it doesn't do anything for you. It doesn't make you happy. You don't want to build them up and lvl them up and use them. Even though I was happy I got Remake Cloud in Brave Exvius, I pulled for him .. and never opened the game again after that. -_- .. When you're not having fun .. seriously - move on to something else. Makes no sense to stick around, it's just .. not becoming at all. :(

I watched your video after uninstalling the latest gacha game ZZZ when I realized I can't manage multiple gacha games and decided to stay with the one I had the most fun with (Genshin). It felt like I just got something real heavy off my back! No more pressure to login doing daily stuff for every penny the game gives! Heck, I don't even care the monthly pass I bought anymore! I did the same thing with Honkai: Star Rail back then for the same reason. Guess I didn't learn at the time and tried to include a new game in again only to repeat the cycle, haha.

thanks this gave me food for thought. im playing 3 gachas right now as well as WoW and it’s just too much. It’s hard to break out of the fomo cycle though. The worry of “wasting resources” etc

Yeah I only play one gacha at a time and even sometimes it feels like a lot. Sometimes things don’t fit into your life like a puzzle piece that doesn’t fit in anymore. For me I have a hard time being a casual player haha, end game meta dmg calcs substat rolls etc.

are you me? am i you? This is literally the life of a gacha gamer. I just take a break when a game becomes a chore and then forget about fomo. You can always jump back in and you'll learn that you really arent that far behind.

Edit: your hair looks really cute today
