In my opinion the first one ( when blue was a actor whit other two ) is mostly a representation of that one day he will be blue, I’m sorry if this does not make sense but let me explain fast, so in the first one basically IT WAS HIS”DREAM” of being part of the rainbow friends and play whit them, etc.. and the second one will be what really happened, he became a rainbow friend BUT at the same time lost his hole life .
