Giles Gill and Eric are the two best young golf instructors on You Tube. They virtually got me from a 25 handicap to a 10 over the course of one year. I still feel I can drop a couple of strokes.

Larry San Diego. Still miss your Monday interactive instructional questions and feedback sessions. My question is what you would recommend to your student to practice a specific drill each day in terms of the number of repetitions and practice time (5, 10, 15 minutes) each day? Thanks

Great video! Giles was teaching me the same concept (in my lesson 4 video on my channel), and it is was one the most difficult things for us early rotators to fix.

These drills are new to me and will certainly take the concept to the next level.

At this club parallel position, what would you ideally like to see with your hips and shoulders? My initial thought is shoulders would be slightly closed still and hips would be neutral or slightly open?

The lower hand focus might also help prevent early extension.
Thanks

Excellent vid. May I suggest that a key to making it work well is NOT using the fingers to pull down - fingers will be in charge of the swing and it won't work well. Giles specifically mentioned lengthening the trail arm but I think many golfers will still squeeze their fingers on the handle and pull down with them instead of the way Giles is proposing. Does that make sense?

So when you come back down to parallel, the hands appear to be more around the rear thigh area than centered to your body, if I am correct?

Giles has turned into Danny Maude with strange analogies (3 course meal 😂)...
Great video and explanation, the best I've seen on this specific drill. 👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Interesting Eric. A different approach from your session with Trevor. I understand it but prefer what you did with Trevor. Be well-Happy New Year-Russ

Would this feel translate over to the driver/woods? 🤔

With regard to the back swing - is the feeling that you are turning back or swinging the club back?

This seems like rushing from the top which usually causes problems. Thoughts?

I get it Eric but what about the talk that the arms come down for the ride?

This opposes the teaching I've been implementing which is to let gravity drop the club as you shift & rotate and physics takes over the arms and club. So many teachers have spoken against pulling the club down as fast as you can. So I'm pretty confused right about now
