Toshiba Satellite S50-B-12Z SSD vs HDD Restart speed test.

Both laptops are exactly the same model S50-B-12Z. The only difference is that the one on the right has an SSD and the one on the left has its original HDD drive. No other modifications or changes have been made.

I have this model, but with an SSD drive. it has been well looked after
and now it refuses to switch on and on the odd occasion it will go to
the boot window after just sitting on a table for 2-10 days. Cant figure
out what is wrong with it, but if it's a motherboard issue, then I'd
imagine its good for the recycle bin!
My last hope is to change the bios battery, but I have no idea where it is?

Can i put and manage together HDD + SSD on this laptop? I mean to save the existing HDD and add mini version of SSD ?

Hey, whta size ssd did you put in? Is it just the 7mm version that you can get or goes it have to be smaller? As well is it easy to swap? The whole back panel has to come off right? Thanks

Hi..I bought a Satellite S50-B-12Z a few months ago and was looking to upgrade to a SSD, how did you manage to migrate the existing HDD across to the new SSD, did you use a program, did you just format and reinstall windows, if so did everything work ok (function keys etc) does it have space for 2 x HDD, any help appreciated...Thanks

Depends on what you will use it for

If u ar a hardcore gamer (likeme) id definitely go for the toshiba(trust me I own it and that amd radeon r7 m260 graphics card doesnt disappoint I can run all games at the highest settings



But however if ur using it for work/school I think it would be more wise to go with the dell
