When I was stationed in Ventura County in the early 90's, the clubs held T-6 races with HOB T-6's powered with OS FP .15's. I built one with an MVVS .12 diesel and Robart 1/2a retracts. The engine ran as good as the .15 and 2oz of fuel gave over 10 minutes of flying, definitely an asphalt runway airplane.

Great flyer. I have one too that Jack Stafford built. We gave him the kit a few weeks after he treed his at the park we were flying at. A month later he gave it to me, i haven't flown it yet. Just beautiful with fixed gear.

We used to pylon race those in the 90s with OS.25 FSR's...squirrelly AF, but fun! What a blast from the past! Thanks!

What a great little model! I'm curious about the retracts, I've been looking for a set of small retracts and can't find any. Do you recall the brand? EDIT: Nevermind, I went back to the build video and saw the story of the retracts. And also my own comments in that video, which I clearly forgot about. LOL

I wondered why it revved up so fast. I think I’d use a 7x4. Looks like a handful.

Great little plane. Bentley's landing was better...taxi back not so much. Lol.

Awesome plane but push your radio attena down. In the position you had it in it is not ment to do that and will make it more likely for you to loose it’s connection it is ment to be completely down with these newer radios.
