Did you ever experience dodgy IDC cables, e.g. eurorack power cables? Here's a small project for your peace of mind :).

The midiphy wirescanner allows visual diagnostics of your DIY (or also commercially bought) IDC or micromatch ribbon cables.

It should be a very useful tool for your electronics lab - and is highly recommended, if you're building a midiphy SEQ v4+, or the upcoming midiphy MatriX! :)

AWESOME application for those LED matrix display!! I’ll be looking out for this one all because the enclosure on the back looks like it’s really doing it’s job of hiding away any components, and it’s all in one nice little unit. Pretty smart, THANKS FOR SHARING!!

cool! will avoid a lot of bad vibes in the future... bad crimped cables took me a lot of time debugging.

Cool but useless for me. I have 34 line DIY's. Also the shortage indication is not well solved. The numbers from the cables should indicate which ones are shorted. Not only some glooming pixels.
