Rutgers, Rowan and Montclair State Universities have had about two dozen students notified so far. But questions have mounted to what exactly were the reasons for the action.

The people advocating for the students are making baseless claims. Whine on.

This isn't hard or complex to understand. If my children and their friends start complaining about what I made for supper; I send my kids to their bedroom and send their friends home.

The visa is a privilege, not a right, there is no such thing as due process to prohibit the government revoking your visa, but it’s in America, as long as you pay the money, the lawyer can file a lawsuit to sue anyone on anything

It's really stupid that they don't realize that a student visa is simply that: A STUDY VISA, not a visa for politics. If you're not a citizen, you have no right to participate in politics.

Nothing happens without reason. Especially when you have students who are harassing and intimidating others whom they are against. I teach at one of these universities, and I know exactly why they are revoking these visas. Please stop playing ignorant.

This is not about free speech it is about our national security. We don't need to allow people in that hate us. Student visas can be revoked at anytime without notice.

When I went overseas I always made sure to be on my best behaviour. I never once put myself in a situation that would cause the police or immigration services to take another look at the visa that they gifted me. Just stay in your lane and behave yourself. It's not your country and they can kick you out for whatever reason they can find. You told them you were coming to study, you should study.

Always look at the details to see if the ONLY thing a student did was merely express an opinion. I have seen some pretty violent and hateful messages online allegedly from students.

Here is an idea: why don't they beg for mercy instead of protesting out. Plus, protest at Capitol Hill or White House, NOT on campus. Do you all think the College can make a change? That like being mad at your boss and going home to kick your dog.

Visas holders do not have the right to the first amendment laws !! Because you are not a citizen of the USA!!

Who has lost in the end? Not the Palestinians, Hamas or Hezbolla. Students wanted to attract publicity and they didn't know what for they were advocating.

Without moral [immoral] support from Media such as this, 'problem' Students may be less brave in demonstrating when they should be studying.
The arrogance of someone from another Country daring to cause serious problems on Campuses and taking up causes [for pay?] not their own deserves immediate and quick deportation.
Perhaps students [now Ex] returning home to 'face the music' without a Degree, huge debt and a stain on their CV for all of life may give them and others food for thought.

I bet 💯 all of these visa kids have some kind of incriminating language over social media or demonstrated some disruptive behavior. Go home and protest. Due process for visa holders is a joke.

I realize lots of others disagree, but I am sad and embarrassed that some Americans are scared of foreign students voicing minority opinions. If you don't agree that people who disagree with you have a right to free speech, then you don't believe in free speech. America used to be the world leader in freedom and openness. Consider a few thoughts: 1. These protests will continue regardless of silencing foreign students (deporting them probably inspires more citizens to protest). 2. Although some students celebrate Hamas and their horrific war crimes, I think most students want to highlight the desire for divestment in arms companies, support for a ceasefire, and acknowledgement that there is a history to the region before October 7th (and the Palestinians are quickly losing their ability to survive in Gaza and the West Bank). 3. Part of student life DOES INCLUDE writing op-ed pieces, protesting against perceived injustices in the world, challenging society to be more humane and compassionate, etc. (I agree that protestors - foreigners or citizens - should not be entitled to murder, maim, assault, etc. others or commit crimes, but very little of that is happening. Rubio says we are insane to enable rioting, but almost all the protests looked very peaceful to me). 4. Many many of the protestors are Jews (like Jews for Ceasefire). Just saying, maybe we should listen a little, maybe every protest and protestor is not an antisemite. 5. What if next week Trump/Rubio decide anyone opposing their plans for the 51st State of Canada or the rare earth mine-state of Greenland is interfering with "foreign policy". Perhaps once we acquiesce to this purge of foreign students, the next purge will be even more embarrassing (slippery slopes these days). I thought Americans were supposed to be tough, brave, proud, etc. Support of these visa revocations (even if a Visa is a privilege) is simply glaring evidence of how weak with think we are now - very sad and embarrassing. Real men aren't scared of what some students are chanting about if they disagree with them.
