Discussion of the pulse oximeter (SpO2 sensor) on the Fitbit Ionic smart watch, including why the sensor may not be active and how I think Fitbit is using data from the sensor in their new Sleep Score, January 16, 2019.

This red light has come on and will not go off??!! How do you get it off? We’re reinstalling and pairing the watch but I don’t think it’s going to work.

I have the charge 3 device and I was wondering if you could tell me what’s the red sensor on the back of device....it normally comes on when you go to bed plus with the spo2 sensor now Fitbit support says my device can pick up the levels but on the app it don’t clue how to access it

I just purchased a Charge 3 and although I keep finding articles claiming this new sleep metric called Estimated Oxygen Variation...I don't see it anywhere in the sleep metrics and I have FitBit Premium.

Not very happy because the oximeter was one reason I purchased this fitness tracker given the way the coronavirus can effect your blood oxygen levels if you get it.

I have an Honor Band 5 with SpO2 and when I first set it up, the SpO2 function completely vanished from the menu. I think it is because it thought I was in the U.S. After reloading the software and choosing China as my country, the feature returned. I don't have a FitBit, but if I did, I would try to set it up as if it was in China and see what happened.
