Focused Respiratory Physical Assessment Head-to-Toe

Physical assessment is the baseline of everything we do in nursing and is the first step in the nursing process. This video includes a focused respiratory assessment in a head-to-toe fashion. It details the examination and hones in on inspection, palpation, percussion, and ausculatation of the patients' chest. It further includes a demonstration of chest excursion.

Hi, good demonstration there. A question please. If you are tasked to perform an assessment bring it pain assessment, respiratory, abdominal cardio etc, do you always have to check vital signs before the focused assessment?
