CHECKING CARAVAN TOW BALL WEIGHT USING BATHROOM SCALES | SEPS ADVENTURES

This is an alternative method to using a tow ball weight scale which are in 10kg increments easy to use and portable. The bathroom scale method is a little time consuming to set up but the 2kg increments are more accurate. Disadvantage of the bathroom scale system is it is not portable.

I know this is a delayed response, but I just bought a towball scale, Towsafe, and wanted to see how it compares with this method. The Towsafe scale showed 220Kg and the bathrooom scales showed 225Kg. So I think both methods are pretty close. When I got it measured professionally they showed 266Kg, but I had full water tanks, and also had the very heavy jack and the thumper air comprssser in the front boot. When I took them out and put them under the seat above the wheels I found the towball weight went down by 20Kg. I'm still contemplating getting air bags, but also contemplating a new tow vehicle. Time will tell. Thanks for the video.
