What If...? is an American animated anthology television series created by A. C. Bradley for the streaming service Disney+ based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. It is the fourth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, and the studio's first animated series from Marvel Studios Animation. The series explores alternate timelines in the multiverse that show what would happen if major moments from the MCU films occurred differently. Actually, just retroactively realising, as much evil as there was in Loki as a potential, there was always much live as much as jealously in equal measure forvhis adoptive brother... not to mention, to not be the one to kill him, but some mere mortals, who to his at this point were barely above animals to compare them to... indeed... of course it ending up as a faustian bargain... but could've been a nice thread to follow up on...

The reality of the situation is that Loki never meant for Thor to be killed. He just wanted Thor out of the way at least long enough so he could finally step out of his inescapable shadow. He never even wanted the throne of Asgard, just to be seen as an equal to Thor. Loki knew Thor really did love him as a brother so he actually feels remorse knowing that Thor’s death is partially if not mostly his fault.

I like this Loki, he still loved his brother at the time and power hasnt gone to his head but hearing that his brother was murdered while exiled made him furious and focus on earth, after the power hunger set in he targetted earth next
