Lol. It’s a Dymo type of label maker. Everyone who grew up in the 1980s and before know how to use it.

My mom had one of these in our “junk drawer” growing up and I LOVED it!! It worked better than this one seems to but, the nostalgia is forcing me to find one at DT ASAP!

The dial is made to turn only in one direction. When you turn it the other way, sometimes it will push the tape back, and cause it to write over itself. I just found one at my dollar tree and it definitely worth it. 😀

Fudge I just bought one and realized it didn’t come with tape (or instructions). Then I checked out your video. I might give it a try lol.

I saw the label maker over the weekend and was debating should I get it. Thank You for going through the painful process of deciding "NOT" to get it. LOL
Happy New Year!!

These were popular when I was in school 40 odd years ago.

I'm 61 and I remember having one of these growing up. Very handy for a quick label.

I used this for labelling my school textbooks when I was a student. What I dislike about using the labeller is that it was difficult to peel off the labels backings once you're done printing them and if you're not careful when peeling it, you will have bend marks on the labels. Another thing I dislike is that it can get quite painful trying to turn the rotary wheel for a prolong period of time. Also the labels don't stick very well and I had to use tape to keep them from coming off.

There is nothing wrong with rotary phones. I love them.

I just bought this because I was also curious and was confused on how to use it. Thank you for the video, it was really helpful. It isn't the best quality, but I also like the old style label look and as someone who isn't super into labelling, I'll definitely get a dollar's worth of use out of it. Thanks again!

I bought mine back in the 90s (still have it but haven't used it in awhile! ). The jenky thing about the DT one is that the tape is not inside the machine like the old ones. That helps to keep it straight. Also the tape looks matte and not shiny so it probably slides through a little too easy and that would also impact placement and printing.

It’s forget it for me.. u hv to buy the tape separately... girl u hv a cricut .. besides old school writing on a tape or label is more effective to practice yr penmanship/handwriting... we are getting lazy! Lol

Yeah we used these exact things back in the day. Anybody 40 and up will know how to use them. 😂😂😂

Those are old. My mother had one back in the 70s. She labeled everything! It helped a lot though.

Thank you for sharing your Dollar tree video! I'm currently in quarantine and as much as I really really really want to get out to the dollar tree to see the new stuff I can't right now. I enjoy living vicariously through you! I make Dollar tree videos too. Mostly crafts and Recipes. Thanks for keeping me up to date on what to look for when I can get back out there!
