Ecomobl M24Pro in the Snow with snow chains

Показать описание
Here it is FINALLY: the promised video with the snow chains
(If you want to save something when buying a new Ecomobl eSk8, then use the code “Mark50”)
I made a snow video last winter, but it was a very slippery affair. It was really fun, but I prefer to have more control over the eSk8 - so I ordered snow chains (lawn tractor size and I had to adjust the length of the chains with the hacksaw).
With its AWD, the M24Pro is too powerful for snow-covered paths without snow chains (tires spin). Back then, with the wide airless tires and still good tread, I could only drive in mode M/2 - THIS TIME IT LOOKED DIFFERENT... with the snow chains it is much better and it is also possible to accelerate in a controlled manner in mode 4/PRO. A great mix of easy sliding in corners and much more control from the M24Pro on a wide variety of surfaces. Snow, ice, wet and frozen ground, roots and ruts from the forestry vehicles in the forest...
Warning: imitate at your own risk!!! no moisture must get on the electronics and the temperature difference with the cold when acclimatizing the battery must not be ignored. Think carefully about how you can protect your battery and electronics.
To prevent moisture from penetrating the battery box and both ESCs, I additionally sealed all gaps with a waterproof sealing tape/FlexTape. It's not a guarantee, but it's a better feeling - but still a risk.
The M24Pro has a special feature on the eSk8 market with its 10" tires. But finding snow chains for this wasn't so easy. Last winter I ordered snow chains for lawn tractors in size 4.10/3.5-6 on eBay for around €40. I then had to shorten each of these by two cross chains with a hand saw and finally secure them with cable ties. I felt uneasy for the first few meters, but everything held up wonderfully and I was able to accelerate without restrictions.
Snow chains do not mean driving on rails. It remains a slippery affair - but with significantly more control than without snow chains and a lot of fun on all kinds of winter surfaces.
