Today my Thai wife was approved for her B1. The officer never asked to see any documents. A few questions and approved. But the answers, which her and I practiced were good. Question 1 How long will you be staying in usa? 3 weeks, my husband and I need to get back to Thailand for my daughter ceremony for getting her bachelor degree. Question 2 Do you know your husband can file petition for you to go to usa permanently? Yes, but we are waiting until i retire from my job to get my full 401k, then we will apply for cr1. She has a 20, 000 baht per month job, thats only $650 a month. And we didnt have a whole lot of money in her bank account. But he never asked for those documents, any documents. The keys to our success were her 2 very solid answers to those questions dusplaying important reasons to her to return to Thailand. Her ability to answer the questions in English. And marriage/age. She is 48.
