T Rex Racing Windshield Install & Review Honda CRF300L
Finally got a windscreen on my Honda CRF300L! In this video I install the T Rex Racing Windshield and then go for a ride to review it.
Not having a windshield on the Honda CRF300L has been one of my gripes since I bought the bike. Since I ride on the Highway at higher speeds to get to the dirt sometimes and also take the Honda on long rides, having something to stop the wind from hitting my chest has become paramount simply to make the ride more enjoyable. I also ride all through the winter and it really helps stopping the freezing wind on my chest.
Overall, the installation went smooth and I'm certainly not a certified technician...so If I can put this on the bike anyone can. No drilling was required.
The test ride with he windshield proved that it would do it's job which was to mainly keep the wind off my chest and surprisingly I got no turbulence (or grab) with my helmet. Awesome! I think I'll be quite happy with this product!!

I just finished my windshield install on my Honda CRf250L after watching your video. It’s the very same. Thank you much for diligence. It’s not as easy as the T-Rex racing instructions say. And you need the right tools. The install took several hours and I still need to test drive to check it. The comment that the product is to be installed by a “Certified technician” is interesting legalese. Certainly gets T-Rex off the hook for an owner/operator DYI type like me. Huh? That never seems to stop FortNine! Too bad the lawyers did not include the tools you need for install. Break out your 8, 10, and 12 mm sockets. The great thing is that autumn is here and with winter knocking at the door soon, this nice thick piece of polycarbonate or acrylic will keep the wind off me, and thanks to your added input. Live as free as you can and ride always! 🚲🛵🏍️

I bought a cheap Chinese windscreen for my KLX300, it makes a huge difference in comfort, and the bike really cuts through the wind better. I do like that the T-Rex uses flat steel hangers, and just may have to switch, so looks like a good mounting point for the quad-lock and other accessories, moving them off the handlebars, which is pretty crowded real estate! My only concern is the T-Rex windscreen is taller, and I find when I'm off the seat on gnarly singletrack, my chin will sometimes contact the windscreen. thanks for the vid!

Can't wait to ride in your area. I pass through when I go to our house in Cedar City. I spend the summer months riding in the mountains east

I installed the same windshield on my 2023 KLX300SM and it really made a difference on the highway rides. Just having that extra bit of protection up front makes me feel less exposed and a bit safer. Great review!

Nice review. I went with the Zeta windscreen for my 300L which I think is a little bit lower. It has a really beefy mounting bar that provides a perfect mounting option for a Garmin Zumo GPS, similar to what you see on the 300 Rally and big adventure bikes. I like the idea of being able to see over the windscreen to pick my line through the rougher stuff up the trail. That said, I do get some annoying turbulence at 50+ mph, at the peak of my adventure style helmet. I do get the wind off my chest very nicely. Still playing with adjusting the angle of the windscreen to see if I can "tune it out". Might have to remove the peak on the helmet to avoid the turbulence.

Since this cold snap during my first winter on the 300, I can definitely say I want one, the bike really needs it. Just been waiting for a good mounting system to come along. Would the T-Rex do better with a bit of side-wings to help keep the air of your shoulders? Mayb😢 I’ll keep waiting. Please, Let us know how it goes in the long run.
