Some even went on to explain her ailment in order to raise awareness of Misty Loman’s condition, which includes bone cancer, lupus, and scleroderma. Seeing such things restores faith in humanity. She was an addict, but because of the pain she was suffering due to a disease she had that would eat away at her bones, especially the structure in her face. IT WAS NOT CAUSED BUT DRUGS! - She’s actually been sober for a very long time, and again, her shocking appearance had NOTHING to do with her drug use.
