Where Is The Earth Located?

You're there, and I'm here. And we're all on the Earth. But where is the Earth? In the Solar System, obviously, which is in the Milky Way, and so on. Think about your place in the cosmos, your exact spot in the Universe relative to everything else. It's time to get your bearings, and once you do, you'll discover you're right at the center of everything.

You should be some sort of astronomy teacher. You make things very interesting and understandable. Keep up the astronomy videos Fraser! My fellow space nerds and I really enjoy them

This channel is a breath of fresh air compared to all the juvenile science channels around, hosted by immature Internet personalities.
I finally feel like I'm being spoken to like an adult, and not patronized with flashy graphics and clownish performances. It gets old fast.

This is the first science channel I subscribed to.

I'm pretty sure that the idea of returning to starting point if you travel long enough is just one of many equity unsupported hypothesis of the universes shape and curvature. They way you said it though, made it sound as if that idea is what all cosmologists think.

First video I've watched of yours. Fantastically explained for people like me who are so curious, yet do not know all the technical terms, so thank you! Subscribed too.

Intergalactically Superawesome, many of the stuff I didn't know, specially the name of those super big structures that come after the local group. <3

I'm never quite sure if Fraser is serious or doing comedy, but it sure as hell is informative.

While I technically already knew all this stuff, I LOVE hearing it all explained. It really puts things into perspective to have it all spelled out.

Great video as always :)

It would be quite wonderful to create a mechanical public monument with hands like a clock, which pointed at various astronomical bodies for ease of reference and relativistic understanding.

When you point to the center of the galaxy and to the edge with a hand gesture it triggers something primitive in me. It's as if you're telling me, hey dude, the unexplored horizon is in that direction, aren't you going? I wanna go damn it, where do I get a spaceship with an working warp drive?

Canadian, eh? Thanks for sharing, buddy! :)

13.8 billion LY in either direction, but if you go far enough you end up where you began? So you would, theoretically travel some 26.6 odd LY and you're back again? Would it be fair to call that the diameter of the Universe?

Hey, I live extremely close to Courtenay. Quite the coincidence!
