What's the redshift? Supermassive black holes appear as quasars not because they are consuming matter but because the high energy photons they radiate stretch into the visible wavelength as space is stretched. The light starts out as invisible gamma rays, X-rays, microwaves and or radio and by the time the light reaches us has stretched into a visible wavelength. Nothing is falling into them. They all grow at the same rate throughout the universe. Nothing, not even light is able to fall into a black hole. The older they are, the more mass they have. The theories are incomplete.

Do you ever think black holes are shrinking faster than we think? Like the old ones are so huge! But the nearer ones are not as big. Since we are seeing the black holes as they were when the light was emitted, do you think now they look like ours

Damn.. now that is really something!! I wonder if there is a limit to how much a black hole can eat? and being so far away I wonder now just how big it really is.. This was outstanding brother.. I was thunderstruck at the size of it all.. and I thought sag a was good sized one.. Woof brother.. 90's for a few days this week.. the heat is on! take care my friend..

Be glad that this monster is nowhere near us, otherwise we're practically dead. ☠️
