As a local boy (from Kihei), growing up I quickly learned the fish collar is one of the best, if not the best, part of the fish. A long time ago, those not in the know, would cut the head of fish along with the collar and discard it. My tu-tu (Grandma) used to fry up the best fish collar. Grandpa was a fisherman so we pretty much had an endless supply of fish. So glad you had a great time in Maui.

I commented earlier not having seen the rest of your video. Tasty Crust is older than me (77). At times when we attended church services in Kahului, Grandma & Grandpa would take us to Tasty Crust for brunch/lunch. The restaurant is an icon of Maui. Glad you had the opportunity to visit.

Just got back from Oahu and watching your video makes me miss Maui so much. IMO it’s the best Hawaiian island as it’s a nice combo between island feel while having a little city life. Thanks for the upload and much appreciation for sharing your adventures with us.
