Bought one, and his review is like for a different car. I have leased a 3 series before, and the X1's driving dynamics are the same, so I disagree when he said that the X1 does not drive like the other BMW's because it really does. As for cabin noise, yes, it can be improved, but I don't find it intrusive at all, and would still say that it is a comfortable and quiet car. Ride is on the firm side, but by no means harsh and still compliant, which is typical BMW. I am loving this car.

The X1 drives very much like a BMW, with the Run flat tyres with every BMW go off road will find it’s harsh ride, damper control with comfort mode will soften the ride quiet a lot.

But will adaptive suspension (dynamic dampers) make much difference ?

a lot better looking x1 than its predecessor;I hope it would compensate to its performance as well...
