Boots & Shorts: Yay or Nay??

Yay for the hiker look with hiking boots and shorts. As a Park Ranger, we used hiking boots with wool socks (tan, black, or multi-colored earth tones).

It can be done if you go more earthy hiker profile. You'll even enjoy it!

I wear hiking boots with shorts all the time.. but that’s usually with a flannel and when I’m working outdoors. Could’ve worked with the blundstones and some fishing shorts maybe

My favorite solution for boots with shorts is wear a slightly shorter short (they don't have to be super short, just not ones that come all the way to the knee, and then wear an outer layer or shirt that breaks up the silhouette on top, like a slouchy cardigan, a bomber, or an oversized cropped sweater. Changing the silhouette a bit makes the gap between the boots and the hem of the shorts feel less awkward, more intentional, less like something's missing by accident or something.

Pretty much my outfit daily is either a Pearl Jam shirt or a jersey, basketball shorts, docs, and then a flannel to match the shirt over it. Simple, effective, and represents my personality well.

the 2nd red one was the best imo!! lean into the grunge and punk!!! this combo needs the style of a punk who loves boots and cut their crust pants in half with dull scissors for the summer 😂
