I have found that momentum takes many forms, it can last a few minutes to a few months on different time frames. I have 2 methods, both methods are trading momentum bursts on the daily or hourly timeframe. For the daily i search for stocks witj new momentum on the weekly timeframe, then look fornthe first base on the daily timeframe, or i will search for strong momentum on tje daily chart, usually 1 to 2 days and look for a base breakout range expansion momentum bursts set up on the hourly chart. I habe to remind myself i am not holding for long and take profit.

Pradeep- I have been following your channel, educational videos for a long time. I find that you are among the best at providing valuable trading education. I’m 69 yo, retired physician, not yet consistently profitable- but studying, trading 8-10 hours/day. I cannot find that you have mentioned how you figure pre market price movement into your entry strategy for Momentum Burst. I only see mention of opening range break, or market open entries. Often the stock has made ijts major day1 move by market open. Please help, needing guidance asap! Thank you so much, Chris.

Hi Pradeep. What is the significance of volume in momentum burst ? Sometimes I see stocks making 4%+ moves without big volume. I expected them to come down next day due to lack of volume, some came down but some kept going up. Do you consider volume when taking a momentum burst setup or you just purely go by your conviction.
