Our Background

Our goal is to help you achieve your dreams by sharing what we've learned throughout our careers!

We both struggled throughout high school and early college before finding our motivation and developing the skills to succeed in school. We both went from failing several classes in college to achieving straight A's. During medical school, we continued to hone our study strategies and ultimately scored in the top 99th percentile on our board examinations.

Our goal with this series of videos is to share all of the tips and tricks we've learned through our personal struggles and by tutoring and mentoring other students.

I just had my 10 year old watch this, because it’s important to show it’s important to work hard and not give up. Thank you.

That was a wonderful video. Most doctors I know we’re straight a students their entire lives. It was very interesting to hear that you both struggled early on in school. This definitely is very motivating to hear. Congratulations to you both on your success

High school dropout who is now a graduate student at one of the top universities in the US/world. Anything is possible with hard work and determination. Great video for people! Thanks for your honesty.

This video has motivated me to be lenient on my child when he grows up and not to freak out about his grades. I want him to learn everything he wants to, just to ensure that he enjoys what he does. I've seen parents making their kids' lives hell for straight As, which is absolutely unfair.
I've got just another perfect example of you guys mashaAllah doing such a great job 👏💕

This was me. Barely graduated high school. Then decided what I wanted to do at 20. Graduated nursing school at 25 with a 4.0.

You two are so down-to-earth, with that beautiful personality and that reachable /approachable to others. Love your video context, but please make one on how did you two meet.

I love this video and your honesty! I was a student who had to learn how to learn. I was threatened with expulsion in the first quarter of my freshman year of college if I didn't raise my grades. I took that seriously and eventually I was getting A's. To anyone who is struggling, you are an inspiration!

I was a horrible student back in the days as well. I even dropped out of high school, took a year to get my GED. Then I went to a state college and started off with a 2.0 GPA in my freshmen year, finally got my acts together and graduated with a 4.0...got a wonderful job offer right out of college, worked my tail off for 4 years and got accepted to an Ivy school for my graduate degree and landed my dream job. Life is full of surprises 🙂

You are both so humble… and so generous in the knowledge you share, and how you share it.
I found your channel while on Quarantine for Covid… you’ve made these 4 walls a classroom and my quarantine an adult education program!

THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HONESTY! My academic journey wasn't great either until I entered grad school. I've carried a sense of shame about my performance in undergrad, even though I eventually earned a PhD. I've spent years feeling like I needed to constantly prove myself. Your openness made me smile.😊😊😊

As a teacher I see more potential in students that have some sort of charisma but are C students than A students. Thank you for sharing this! Great story

As an athlete in high school, I didn’t focus much on my grades. I had a C average and then struggled with the college entry tests. My mother got me a tutor so I could get the score I needed to be recruited to colleges for my athletic ability. I remember the college career guy at my HS being so down on me. It really was completely unnecessary. He told my mom that I would be lucky to even get out of college with a degree. I ended up getting a B average in my undergraduate studies, I LOVED my classes and earned two degrees. To think that one man was so down on me, a high school student, still bugs me to this day. I am glad my parents continued to support me and I was the first in my family to earn an undergraduate degree. So glad they had my back and that I believed in myself. I still had tough classes but my mom just said, “C’s get degrees!” And I kept pushing myself along. Thank you for sharing your stories. Everyone has a different journey and life isn’t defined by test scores.

This is so inspiring hearing from you guys that not everyone has to be born 100 percent perfect or intelligent in order to become a successful healthcare professional someday. It's relieving to hear other healthcare professionals be transparent about their lives and their past knowing they too had theirs flaws and no one is perfect. I have low-self esteem and self-confidence issues that I am actively working on to rectify. I usually deter away from speaking about myself and my past in order to show people I am not much of a failure even though I know I could be at times; I am just ashamed of myself sometimes. In my mind being a failure means being a defeated loser in life which just crushes me emotionally. I too got Cs, Ds, Fs in grade, middle and high school. I started taking community college and university more seriously putting in the hard work and determination and as a result I got A's and B's. As someone who is a paraprofessional working my way up in school to become a successful healthcare professional, you guys give me hope, inspiration and motivation to change my life for the better!

I’m so glad I watched this post. I was exactly the same and became successful when I found out what I wanted to do and be. When you love what you do, the hard work moves you towards your goals. But I also believe in a little luck and talent!!
