Back in the 1980's sunspot high, it was easy to hear not only US FM repeaters, but utilities, police and Army installations operating around 31 MHz. All this on a JIL SX200 scanner on the couch beside me with just its own whip. Great days, not heard it like that since.

I had a cracking QSO with a French op through a Swiss repeater on 10m FM. I also heard a Polish repeater on 10m at the weekend too.

10 meter FM repeaters are cool - many years back a friend and I used to use one in Caribbean that seemed like it was right in our area.
