Mr. Knightley proposes to Emma by the fireside.

Jane Austen's beloved comedy about finding your equal and earning your happy ending, is reimagined in this delicious new film adaptation of Emma. Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town. In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along.

I love Mr. Woodhouse being so distraught to hand Emma over when literally nothing in his life is going to change except his bff Knightley might arrive earlier to breakfast than he used to.

The fact that he never hesitates when saying “yes” to all her questions. Next to Mr. Darcy, Mr. Knightly is perfection.

I've just noticed the candle flames are perfectly still. There is visual evidence of absolutely no draft 😂

They're so perfect 😭 I can't decide what's more romantic; their stares, the way he replies "yes" to her questions or those kisses 😍😩 so much chemistry. Autumn de Wilde didn't get enough credit. This movie is so underrated

I love how Mr Elton finally gets "innocence" right.

I love how in the beginning of the film he asked if anyone cried at the wedding he’s the one crying at his own along many others. Great foreshadowing.

I'd like a father in law like Mr. Woodhouse. Purposely make Charles and Bartholomew put the blinds to give her daughter privacy with Mr. Knightley

I always loved Mr. Knightly’s character, in the book of course, and for years watching Mark Strong’s excellent interpretation, now I love Johnny Flynn too!! Mr. Knightly is never anything but kindness and gallantry itself….give’s widely to the poor, works with and values his tenants, looks down on no one, and is very patient with Emma’s Father, his kindness to Harriet Smith at the ball is a prime example…..he is not called Mr. knightly for nothing, he is truly a knight in shining armour….

I can’t help but laugh at the high collars😂

They almost remind of those blinders they put on horses😂

A little thing I noticed was that both Mr. Knightley and his brother cries in the wedding. I like to think of it as a small detail that really shows that they're siblings.

We all deserve a Mr. Knightley in our lives ❤

Can’t help but chuckle thinking Knightly’s bro is crying less out of happiness, and more out of sympathy for his brothers loss of freedom as he’s “chained up” as he is now 🤣🤣🤣

I did struggle with this production .... but must admit that it is growing on me .... very rapidly. The subtleties in the direction are exquisite.

This is the way that evenings were spent before radio or Telly. Love the way she plants a quick kiss on his lips then turns away.I'm jealous.❤❤❤❤❤❤😊

Forget Mr Darcy, I always thought Mr Knightley was the far superior romantic lead.
