Ecocide, the 5th Crime Against Peace: Polly Higgins at TEDxExeter

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.

Hooray! A ray of hope! I hope that this way of thinking becomes the norm in the very near future. When I saw the film "The Corporation" several years ago, I came away feeling more optimistic, as it showed there weren't many villains, but companies lacking the legal framework which would allow them to be socially responsible, rather than psychopaths. I thought "oh, we just need some good lawyers to redraft the guidelines". She has turned up. I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Polly Higgins

So sad, i've encountered this video just today, to know that Polly is no more. Rest in Power, dear Polly. I do care about the climate, the earth since the 90's. Just being vegi, vegan food eather during almost 6 years, i've reduced my enviromental footprint some 7 years ago. I don't drink, smoke, not doing drugs, not driving a car, not using planes. That doesn't make me a better person of course, but i do care about nature, the enviroment, and especially animals.I was working 5+ years for voluntary work into a german environment and health initiative we've had international colloquiums every year. Peace.
